Howard Stern on XM This Tuesday - 9/30/2008?
It appears that Sirius XM Radio is getting ready for The Best of Both programming and it may start as early as Tomorrow!
A quick check Here reveals that The Stern Show is set to Air Tomorrow.

According to a recent XM Signal Email-
“Beginning September
30th, the following channels will relocate on the XM dial: The Joint
(XM 101) moves to XM 95, Air Musique (XM 100) moves to XM 96, and Sur
La Route (XM 102) moves to XM 97. Additionally, Starbucks XM Cafe (XM
45) reverts back to XM Cafe (XM 45).”

Hall of Famer John Riggins Returns to SIRIUS NFL Radio

SIRIUS XM Radio, the Official Satellite Radio Partner
of the NFL, announced today that Hall of Fame NFL running back John
Riggins, who hosted a daily show on SIRIUS NFL Radio from 2004 to 2006,
will return to the channel as a regular host this Friday, September 26.
Riggins
will host The SIRIUS Blitz Tuesdays through Fridays (10:00 am - 1:00 pm
ET) every week exclusively on SIRIUS NFL Radio channel 124. Riggins’
co-host on The SIRIUS Blitz will be longtime SIRIUS NFL Radio
personality Adam Schein.
On SIRIUS NFL Radio Riggins joins an unrivaled lineup of former NFL
players, coaches and executives that includes Carl Banks, Gil Brandt,

Legendary Singer-Songwriter Jackson Browne to Sit Down for an In-Depth Interview on XM Radio

SIRIUS XM Radio announced today that legendary
singer-songwriter Jackson Browne will appear on The Loft XM channel 50
for an intimate, in-depth interview and music special called Songlines
on Saturday, September 27 at 11:30 am ET.
XM
host and distinguished radio personality Mike Marrone will conduct the
one-on-one interview with the renowned songwriter. The interview
coincides with the release of Browne’s new record, Time the Conqueror,
his first album of new material in six years. Time the Conqueror was
released on Tuesday, September 23.
During the in-depth
interview, Browne will be sharing his thoughts on various artists who
have influenced him throughout his career, including David Crosby,
Graham Nash, The Beatles and Kris Kristofferson. Browne will also share
stories about life in New York City in the 1960s and Southern
California in the 1970s. In addition, Songlines will include Browne
revealing behind-the-scenes details of the making of Running on Empty.
The
special interview will also include tracks off Browne’s new record as
well as music from his friends and influences. Additionally, Browne
will personally introduce songs and share anecdotes and individual
experiences he has had with them.
XM’s The Loft features an
intelligent and eclectic mix of songs by singers, songwriters and
beyond. The Loft listeners are exposed to everything from Jackson
Browne, Joni Mitchell and Neil Young to newer artists like Damien Rice,
Calexico and Ryan Adams, to name just a microscopic part of the
station’s enormous library.
Sirius XM Announces Music Programming Team
Sirius XM SVP of Music Programming Jon Zellner
has announced new music programming executives for Sirius Xm Radio.
The newly appointed execs will report directly to Zellner.
- Kid Kelly is named VP of Pop/Dance/Urban
- Gregg Steele is appointed VP of Rock
- Trinity is named VP of Classical/Jazz/Latin
- Jon Anthony becomes VP of Country
- Mitch Todd is appointed Senior Director of Music Production.
During the announcment Zellner said, ”I am pleased to
announce the next level of management on the music programming team at
Sirius XM Radio. These individuals have been important contributors to
the success of Sirius and XM as leaders in audio entertainment and
bring many years of programming experience to the company. This team’s
skill, creativity and depth of knowledge in their respective music
formats will help us combine the best of both Sirius and XM programmers
and on-air talent to produce commercial-free music channels spanning
every genre of music.”
Also Steve Kingston will be stepping down as XM VP/Artist & Label Relations and Senior PD of Rock. Kingston told FMQB,
“I will be leaving Sirius XM to pursue ‘other interests,’ spend time
with my young children, and occasionally drive my wife to work at WPLJ to sit in the lobby and read the trades.”

Kevin Costner and His Band Modern West to Perform Exclusively on Sirius’ New Country Channel

SIRIUS XM Radio today announced that it will broadcast Kevin Costner and Modern West’s exclusive acoustic performance on SIRIUS’ New Country channel on Friday, September 19 at 8:00 pm ET. Costner’s visit to the SIRIUS studios precedes the release of his new record, Untold Truth, which is scheduled to be in stores November 11.
SIRIUS listeners will hear tracks from Untold Truth on New Country’s Buzz Cuts, the feature that showcases new country songs from Nashville’s biggest stars and new talent twice an hour, every hour. Costner’s in-studio performance will offer SIRIUS listeners a preview of Costner and Modern West’s album before it is available in stores.
SIRIUS’ New Country plays the biggest country hits from the hottest country superstars. New Country listeners will hear Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney and many others.

Metropolitan Opera Radio to Broadcast Third Season Live from the Metropolitan Opera
The third season of Met Opera Radio on SIRIUS will feature 127 performances broadcast live from the opera house stage.
SIRIUS’ live broadcast of the Met’s Opening Night Gala on Monday, September 22, will star Renee Fleming.

It will broadcast its third season live from the Metropolitan Opera
beginning with Opening Night on Monday, September 22 and will include
127 live performances during the Met’s 2008-2009 season.
The season will start with the Met’s Opening Night Gala on Monday,
September 22, on Metropolitan Opera Radio SIRIUS channel 78. Coverage
of opening night will begin with an overview of the evening’s red
carpet events, backstage interviews and a season preview starting at 6
pm ET. Met Opera Radio’s Opening Night Gala will star Renee Fleming
performing in some of her most acclaimed roles, beginning with Act II
of Verdi’s La Traviata, conducted by Met Music Director James Levine,
and continuing with Act III of Massenet’s Manon, conducted by Marco
Armiliato, and the final scene of Richard Strauss’s one act opera,
Capriccio, conducted by Patrick Summers.
Highlights
of the Met Opera Radio 2008-09 schedule include every season premiere
and all six of the Met’s new productions: the Met premiere of John
Adams’s opera about the creation of the atomic bomb, Doctor Atomic;
